Tour-de-Thar 2016 - Mehfil

The evenings at Tour de Thar are always special. After a full day on the road the 'Mehfils' bring a welcome belief. The bonfire and the open skies brings out the best of everyone.

There has never been a dull moment, there was always someone laughing! Even before we could barely open our eyes in the morning, we were cracking jokes.

This has been largely the philosophy at Western Motorsoprts, whatever may come your way never fail to enjoy the moment!

JBR Dangal Event Day

On Sunday, 6th August, Jaipur city based motorcycling community Jeypore Bike Riders organize ‘JBR Dangal’ to celebrate its 6th birth anniversary.

Mr. Anukraman Singh Rathore the President of JBR welcomed the Chief Guest, wonder kid Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati Inventor of Six Player version of Chess and the youngest patent holder of India.

The event saw riders, both men and women participating in a host of motrosporting activities and fun games throughout the day. The first activity of the day was a Time Speed Distance challenge, in which the riders had to follow a roadbook and navigate through the wilderness to reach the finish line.

The highlight of the event was Offroad Gymkhana for which an offroad track was specifically designed. Approx. 500 mtrs. long, the track was a mix of 3 formats of Motorsports, Gymkhana, Enduro Cross and a bit of Motocross.

It was not only designed to test the speed but also the rider's control on the motorcycle. The difficulty level was kept to a minimum keeping in mind the varied spectrum of vehicles including scooters and heavier Enfield's.

Although the track looked simple maneuvering the motorcycle on the slippery wet grass and clay like mud proved to be a task. All the Motorsporting competitions were run under the guidance of professionals from Western Motorsports, a seasoned motorsports club.

The winners of TSD challenge were a team Anchit Natha and Aditya Purohit. Sugandh Arora managed to secure the first position followed in closely by Yuvraj Soni and Harsh Pabri at 2nd and 3rd places respectively. The Scooter class was won by Akshit Agarwal.

JBR Dangal Chief Guest Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati

We are delighted to Welcome Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati : Youngest patent holder of India as JBR Dangal Chief Guest on Jeypore Bike Riders birthday celebration.

Hridayeshwar is a true example of the Rider's spirit, The One who never stops, whatever the odds maybe.

Hridayeshwar Singh Bhati (born 3 September 2002) is an Indian student who, at the age of 9 and with his father's assistance, invented a six-player variant of chess. He was granted a patent for his invention in 2012, making him the youngest patent-holder in India at that time.

Bhati's invention earned him the CavinKare Ability Special Recognition Award and the Sri Balaji Society's Child Innovator Award. Since then he has designed and received patents for twelve- and sixty-player variants of his game, with his boards capable of 100 separate variants altogether. Besides inventions in circular chess, he has developed a ramp system enabling easy access to vehicles for the disabled. In 2014, he was presented a Dr. Batra's Positive Health Award by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Bhati suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy and is a wheelchair user. He attributes his inspiration for inventing to his admiration of British physicist Stephen Hawking: "I want to be like Hawking who became a famous scientist despite suffering from motor neuron disease."

Tour-de-Thar 2016 Khuri Video

Tour-de-Thar 2016 Khuri Video

You are in the dunes with your friends in the swanky new SUV you recently acquired. It is a perfect winter morning of Tour-de-Thar with dunes spread over to the horizon. Suddenly the SUV starts to lose traction, the wheels are spinning, throwing sand out but are not able to push the SUV forward.

Before you realize the mammoth SUV has become a sinking ship on the soft sand. What do you do? Who do you call out to?

You call out the local band and ask them to play and you start dancing on the lovely Rajasthani tunes, because hey…what is life without some song and dance, especially during Tour-de-Thar!
The SUV is stuck and it will get out, what’s the point in sulking over it.

There has never been a dull moment, there was always someone laughing! Even before we could barely open our eyes in the morning, we were cracking jokes.

This has largely been the philosophy at Western Motorsoprts, whatever may come your way never fail to enjoy the moment!
